Who we are looking for

We are a young, motivated, dynamic team. The four co-founders of the company are ex bankers, management consultants, and Silicon Valley professionals with several years in media and entertainment, technology and business in the United States. We are backed by a $10 billion hedge fund based in New York.

We are looking to hire self-driven, motivated individuals. We strongly believe in quality however and we only hire when we find the right talent and fit. Marketing

Responsibilities
Overall
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage marketing activities to achieve company objectives around transactions and market share
  • Work with the CEO and the senior management team to identify, formulate and execute the strategic direction of the business
  • Communicate with the technical team in order to coordinate the expectations of consumers and the market with the technical abilities
  • Measure ROI and analyze impact of marketing efforts. Monitor and measure results from promotional campaigns
  • Work cross-functionally to execute business objectives and enhance member acquisition efforts
  • Develop and manage promotional campaigns
  • Lead creative development projects
  • Manage relationships with third party creative agencies to develop necessary materials
  • Analyze and optimize creative efforts
  • Report on conversions and track results by program

Brand building
  • Design and execute promotions and brand awareness efforts
  • Assess and stay ahead of competition
  • Work with partners to develop joint marketing efforts
  • Analyze impact of brand building programs

Advertising and media coordination
  • Develop, implement and manage the advertising strategy both from a business and technical perspective
  • Initiate and manage discussions with partners and sponsors
  • Identify the right advertising channels
  • Coordinate and manage negotiations and purchasing of different media/channels
  • Develop media kits and sales materials
  • Manage special ad-hoc project requests
  • Develop relationships with media partners and negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Specifically for online marketing:
    • Select and target the right properties for marketing efforts
    • Develop the overall strategy and implementation to maximize efforts in regards to Search Engine Optimization
    • Stay abreast of the latest changes in the Search Engine marketplace, derive key learnings from changes and execute a plan to adapt to those changes
    • Track, analyze and measure the performance of all Search Engine Marketing campaigns
    • Use Search Engine Marketing analytics tools (Google, Yahoo, MSN) to constantly optimize results
    • Create test plans for better understanding of SEO and SEM what works and what does not
    • Manage an outside agency for SEO and SEM

 
Product Management

This is where we are looking for someone who is creative, innovative and constantly thinking up new ways and executing on them to keep our website exciting and valuable for customers and advertisers. Your role will involve being at the forefront of defining the website and therefore the company.

Responsibilities
  • Define website vision and future direction
  • Build product and technology roadmaps
  • Analyze hot new trends in technology, features and functionality and assess applicability
  • Define product life cycle
  • Research markets and competitors
  • Analyze usability and help implement ideas to constantly improve user experience
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features into the KyaZoonga platform on an ongoing basis
  • Define, track and improve key product metrics and develop tests against those metrics
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify areas for differentiation
  • Assess consumer usage data and tailor features accordingly
  • Identify and source content as required
  • Work closely with marketing and business development to jointly identify and pursue opportunities for website enhancement and new features and offerings
  • Work closely with the technology team to execute on features and content
  • Conduct customer surveys and assess results to improve content

Business Development

This role involves growing the company through increasing market penetration and new customer/client acquisition.

Responsibilities
  • Generating annual growth target objectives in support of business plan
  • Developing and maintaining assigned client relationships
  • Recruiting new clients to generate new business opportunities
  • Develop and conduct client presentations to attract new business and support overall corporate positioning
  • Research and develop sales and marketing plans, including overall strategic and tactical directives
  • Negotiate and maintain contracts
  • Coordinate and integrate sales efforts with internal operations in all disciplines
  • Support marketing activities and closely work with product management to help develop new ideas that can be taken to clients
  • Developing relevant business proposals
  • Monitor market Intelligence within the industry in terms of market development, new projects, competitive activity, new customers etc.
  • Handling meeting with key clients
  • Follow up on sales activities
  • Respond to inbound inquiries as well as generate leads

Accounting

Reporting to the CEO, the role will involve formulating financial plans, interpreting financial data, preparing summaries, presenting results for management review, monthly forecasting and budgeting, etc

Responsibilities
  • Compile and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
  • Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement
  • Prepare tax returns and advise management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability. Also ensures that company complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements
  • Develop procedures and control the annual budget process
  • Responsible for reconciling all capital spending
  • Involved in the aspects of the monthly closing process, including completion of account analysis, bank reconciliations and several other aspects during the closing process
  • Ensure all internal control procedures are being followed
  • Review monthly expenses and ensure all necessary accrual are recorded
  • Assist with monthly budgeting and forecasting
  • Handle all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and reconciliations
  • Reconcile core business operations’ reports with 3rd-party payments and reports
  • Assist with audits
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Perform routine administrative tasks as required
  • Prepare daily and weekly accounting and cash reports
  • Monthly account and variance analysis
  • Monthly payroll processing
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

Education and experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 -3 years experience in Accounting and Cost Accounting

Skills

  • Proven ability to perform non-routine mathematical/accounting operations

Exchange Server/Network Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Configure and support a Microsoft Exchange 2007 organization in order to meet and maintain appropriate service levels.
  • Administer and support Active Directory, DNS & Microsoft Exchange
  • Responsible for planning, testing, tuning configuration and setup of Microsoft Exchange architecture as well as supporting e-mail applications. This includes, but is not limited to Blackberry services.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation on the Microsoft environment. Produce appropriate documentation for application deployment, configuration and related possesses.
  • Provide a point of escalation and support to the team.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support for the e-mail environment and Windows servers systems.
  • Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory Environment.
  • Monitor Windows 2003/2008 servers and troubleshoot problems.
  • Support, maintain and administer third party applications.
  • Work as a technical resource on assigned projects.
  • Install, configure and maintain server operating systems and repair server hardware.
  • Help manage network system backups and provide a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for e-mail services.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all hardware on a routine and scheduled basis. Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Position is expansive and additional responsibilities can be added.

Skills
  • Must have at least 4 years working experience and intimate proficiency with Microsoft Exchange 2003 administration and troubleshooting in a large-scale multi-site environment.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2007. Experience integrating Exchange with SharePoint is desired.
  • Must have minimum 5 years working experience and expert knowledge of Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
  • Must have experience supporting mobile e-mail devices such as Blackberry (and other, similar technologies).
  • Must have 3 years working experience supporting, maintaining and administering core Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2003/2008.
  • Must have strong scripting skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.
  • Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, and TCP/IP.
  • Sound working knowledge of remote access technology and back and restore technology.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and very strong problem solving skills.
  • Must have a minimum 4 years of business experience and/or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or an equivalent combination in education and work experience.

 
QA Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual testing
  • Build tools and create test scripts
  • Test development and automation
  • Creating Test plans and test cases
  • Performing root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation
  • Ability to define and manage QA projects
  • Evaluate test coverage

Requirements
  • Solid 7+ years of outstanding track record as a developer and/or UI Automation QA engineer.
  • Active team participant with strong technical and personal leadership skills.
  • Competent in developing QA automation framework and tools (eg. Quicktest).
  • Fluent in ASP.Net and scripting languages (eg., Javascript, PHP, Perl).
  • Competent in Unix operating system.
  • Experience in load and performance testing of web applications (eg. JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Experience in AJAX, HTML and XML.
  • Expert in QA methodologies, procedures & documentation.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or with teams and being able to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
  • Self-starter, team player, highly organized, infrastructure and process-oriented.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferable Job Qualifications
  • Experience in backend server and/or system level programming is a strong plus.
  • Experience in Web Monitoring, Profiling, tools is a plus.
  • Experience in Web Application Security testing is a plus.
  • Experience in QA Lead/Project Management skills is a plus.
  • Experience working with remote development and QA teams.
